A Defining Moment: Egypt Celebrates The Grand Opening of The Grand Egyptian Museum

<p>According to the Middle East News Agency (MENA), Ahmed El-Moslemany, Head of Egypt&rsquo;s National Media Authority, met Sir Magdi Yacoub at the Grand Egyptian Museum shortly before its official opening ceremony.</p>
<p>El-Moslemany said he had spoken with Sir Magdi Yacoub about accelerating the production of a television series depicting Yakoub&rsquo;s life story, continuing earlier discussions on the project.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Sir Magdi reaffirmed his interest in holding a detailed dialogue regarding the dramatic content and storyline,&rdquo; El-Moslemany noted.</p>
<p>He added that both sides agreed to hold a follow-up meeting in the second half of November 2025 and expressed optimism about launching production soon.</p>
<p>MENA also reported that El-Moslemany had previously announced, during a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly in mid-April, that Egyptian Television would produce a biographical series documenting the life and legacy of Sir Magdi Yacoub.</p>

<p>Behind this architectural marvel stand the devoted Egyptian engineers and workers who spent more than a decade bringing it to life. Their dedication and craftsmanship have created a landmark that stands as a lasting symbol of Egyptian excellence; a museum built entirely by Egyptian hands.</p>
<p>Among them is Fares Kamal, an HR Supervisor who worked on the project for nearly ten years. One of his videos from the site recently went viral, amassing over 1 million views, as he proudly shared moments with his colleagues. <strong>Speaking to NileFM, Kamal takes us behind the scenes of how this monumental project came to be.</strong></p>

<p>My journey with the museum began in April 2012 and continued for nearly 13 years. I always felt immense pride, particularly because my office had a view of the Pyramids. It was truly an honor for all of us.</p>
<p>Honestly, I didn&rsquo;t expect my videos to go viral; one of them reached over 1 million views, but I&rsquo;ve always enjoyed capturing moments with the workers and my colleagues. One of the most remarkable aspects of this project is its location, where ancient civilization meets modern architecture.</p>

Seeing this music reach Egyptian listeners, a country that has shaped so much of my artistic identity, feels both humbling and deeply rewarding.</p>
<p><br /><strong>2. Your exclusive NileFM set takes listeners on quite a journey. What can they expect from it, emotionally and musically?</strong></p>
<p>My music project, Lodzikovsky, is built around emotion and identity. The set tells the story of a Polish woman living in Egypt&mdash;her discovery of new sounds, her nostalgia for home, and her dialogue between two cultures. Musically, it&rsquo;s a fusion of Slavic melodies with the textures of Sinai&rsquo;s deserts&mdash;melancholic, spiritual, yet full of light and rhythm.</p>
<p><br /><strong>3. You&rsquo;ve just debuted at Chill O&rsquo;posite under the guidance of Hot Oasis and Bayati. What was that experience like for you?</strong><br />Honestly, I never imagined Bayati would even reply to my demo email. They receive thousands every month from incredible artists. Being invited to perform among such a respected label family was surreal. Chill O&rsquo;posite was the most professionally organized event I&rsquo;ve ever experienced in Egypt, from the lineup and stage setup to security and crowd flow. Mostafa, Mohii, and the entire coordination team were outstanding. It was magical, and we&rsquo;re already planning to come back next year with friends from Poland.</p>
<p><br /><strong>4. You performed an entire set of unreleased tracks. Why did you choose Egypt as the first place to share them?</strong><br />Egypt has been in my imagination since childhood&mdash;even my school nickname was &ldquo;Kleo.&rdquo; My favorite games, like eJay and Tomb Raider, made me dream about creating and exploring soundscapes inspired by this land. After moving here over 11 years ago, Egypt became my home and my muse. My sound, visuals, and storytelling all grew here, so it felt natural to let Egypt be the first to hear what I&rsquo;ve created.</p>
<p><br /><strong>5. For someone hearing Lodzikovsky for the first time, how would you describe your sound?</strong><br />It&rsquo;s a deep, emotional blend of Slavic folk roots and Egyptian downtempo&mdash;a meeting of the Polish forest and the Sinai desert. It&rsquo;s introspective but warm, nostalgic but hopeful.</p>
<p><br /><strong>6. Your music weaves Slavic folk melodies with Egyptian oriental influences&mdash;an unusual and striking combination. How did this fusion emerge?</strong><br />It began when I reconnected with Polish traditions, especially after watching the film Chłopi (The Peasants), which beautifully captures rural Polish life. I wanted to mirror that emotional tone but through Egyptian soundscapes&mdash;as if a Polish village could sing in Arabic. This fusion became my artistic language, connecting two homes into one sound.</p>

How does the natural world influence your compositions?</strong><br />Nature is always my main collaborator. I want listeners to close their eyes and see landscapes through sound&mdash;to feel the mist of a Polish forest or the warmth of the desert wind. I often use real samples from nature or even snippets from Polish films (I won&rsquo;t reveal which ones, haha) to make that feeling more real.</p>
<p><br /><strong>8. You&rsquo;ve released music through respected labels like Bayati, Cosmic Awakenings, Camel VIP, and Caf&eacute; de Anatolia. How do you decide which label suits each piece?</strong><br />For me, it&rsquo;s about connection and shared philosophy. Every label has its own energy and aesthetic. I study their artists, their values, and even the visual identity&mdash;like Bayati&rsquo;s traditional vests or Camel VIP&rsquo;s symbolism of Egypt. When I find resonance between my vision and theirs, I know it&rsquo;s the right home for the track. With some labels, the collaboration even extends to co-curating events and building concepts together.</p>
<p><br /><strong>9. You&rsquo;ve performed at major festivals like Signal and Chill O&rsquo;posite. What makes Egyptian audiences stand out to you?</strong><br />Egyptian crowds are incredibly passionate and emotional. They love to sing, to connect, to live the music fully. That&rsquo;s why I chose to sing live here&mdash;something I haven&rsquo;t done anywhere else. There&rsquo;s a deep appreciation for melody and voice, just like in the music of icons such as Amr Diab and Elissa. The Egyptian audience gives energy back to the artist in a very special way.</p>
<p><br /><strong>10. As a woman DJ bridging European and Middle Eastern scenes, what have been your biggest challenges, and what keeps you going?</strong><br />The biggest challenge has been breaking expectations. Many promoters want familiar genres like Afro-house or commercial club sounds, and it can be hard to introduce something new. But I believe that true art requires courage, and I&rsquo;ve seen that audiences are ready for authenticity. Another challenge, especially in Europe, is bureaucracy and inflation, which can limit opportunities for independent artists. What keeps me going is passion and knowing that every barrier I break helps another woman artist believe she can too.</p>
<p><br /><strong>11. Do you think there are now more opportunities for women DJs worldwide?</strong><br />Definitely. The digital era has opened endless doors&mdash;from TikTok to YouTube, from live streams to international showcases. Women now have platforms to express themselves freely, build communities, and shape the industry on their own terms. It&rsquo;s a great time to be a creator.</p>
<p><br /><strong>12. Beyond music, you lead the &ldquo;Egypt&mdash;All Information&rdquo; Polish community group. How has that role influenced your connection to Egypt?</strong><br />Managing a community of over 50,000 people taught me so much about Egypt&mdash;not just as a resident but as a cultural bridge. Helping tourists and expats navigate life here made me feel part of Egypt&rsquo;s story. It also inspired me to organize gatherings where I could share Egyptian sounds and introduce local artists to Polish visitors. It&rsquo;s about connection through music and kindness.</p>

The vision is to create a hybrid between a music festival and an art exhibition, where attendees can explore, connect, and even collaborate through an event app and immersive experiences. We&rsquo;re in discussions with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in Poland to support Polish&ndash;Egyptian artistic collaboration. With the right partners, I truly believe this festival could become something unforgettable.</p>
<p><br /><strong>14. If you could collaborate with any Egyptian and any European artist, who would it be?</strong><br />My dream Egyptian collaboration has already begun&mdash;working with Hot Oasis was a milestone for me. I&rsquo;d also love to create a bilingual EP with Weam Ismail, where we could blend Polish and Egyptian vocals. On the European side, I&rsquo;d love to work with Nasiri. Our worlds would complement each other beautifully.</p>
<p><br /><strong>15. Finally, after your NileFM feature, what&rsquo;s next for Lodzikovsky?</strong><br />A lot is coming! I have four EPs lined up with Bayati Records, Camel VIP, La Perle, and Cosmic Awakenings, plus several remixes in progress. I&rsquo;m also heading to Tenerife to meet with Bekollective, the team behind Mystic Creature and Summer Contract, to discuss a new festival collaboration. <p>As anticipation builds ahead of the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) on 1 November 2025, Egyptologist Dr. Bassam El-Shammaa describes the landmark as &ldquo;Egypt&rsquo;s greatest cultural achievement in modern history.&rdquo;</p>
<p>An international historian, lecturer, and long-standing member of the Egyptian Historical and Geographical Society, Dr. El-Shammaa has spent more than four decades studying museums across the globe. Yet, he says, no other project embodies Egypt&rsquo;s legacy and resilience quite like the GEM.</p>
<p><strong>Speaking exclusively to NileFM, he reflected on the museum&rsquo;s remarkable journey, from an idea born by chance to a cultural symbol of national pride.</strong></p>
<p><strong>A Dream Born of Coincidence</strong></p>
<p>&ldquo;The idea actually started by coincidence,&rdquo; Dr. El-Shammaa recalls. &ldquo;In the early 1990s, then Minister of Culture Farouk Hosny was asked in Europe about Egypt&rsquo;s museums. Wanting to highlight Egypt&rsquo;s ambition, he replied, &lsquo;We are building the largest museum in the world.&rsquo; The man he was speaking to responded, &lsquo;If that&rsquo;s true, I&rsquo;ll help you get the support you need.&rsquo; That was the moment the dream began.&rdquo;</p>
<p>The casual remark would spark one of Egypt&rsquo;s most ambitious cultural endeavors, a project more than three decades in the making.</p>

<p><strong>The Creation of The Impossible</strong></p>
<p>Construction began in 2002, marking the start of what Dr. El-Shammaa calls &ldquo;the path of challenges.&rdquo;<br />Years of political and economic turbulence followed, including revolutions, financial crises, and even a global pandemic, yet the vision for the museum remained intact.</p>
<p>&ldquo;This is what I call the creation of the impossible,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;It came through effort, sacrifice, and determination not to surrender.&rdquo;</p>
<p>He recalls visiting the site in its earliest stages, when the first concrete foundations were being poured. &ldquo;Right beside me, the first stones of history were being set,&rdquo; he remembers.</p>

<p><strong>A Monument of Innovation</strong></p>
<p>At the museum&rsquo;s entrance stands the world&rsquo;s only suspended obelisk, belonging to King Ramses II. Hovering above the entrance plaza, it allows visitors to view the pharaoh&rsquo;s name and inscriptions from below.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Raising the obelisk in the air is a purely Egyptian idea, designed and executed by Egyptians,&rdquo; Dr. El-Shammaa explains. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s a proud symbol of innovation and national genius.&rdquo;</p>
<p>The museum&rsquo;s architecture, he notes, is &ldquo;a pyramid within a pyramid,&rdquo; a contemporary interpretation of Egypt&rsquo;s most enduring symbol. From the sunlit courtyard, visitors pass into a vast, hieroglyph-engraved hall that fuses modern design with ancient inspiration.</p>
<p><strong>Tutankhamun Reunited</strong></p>
<p>For the first time since Howard Carter&rsquo;s discovery in 1922, all 5,000 artifacts from Tutankhamun&rsquo;s tomb will be displayed together.</p>
<p>&ldquo;As someone who has spent more than 40 years studying Egyptology, written over 50 books, and taught in both Arabic and English, I still feel awe,&rdquo; Dr. El-Shammaa says. &ldquo;Many of these pieces have never been seen before.&rdquo;</p>

<p><strong>A Living Classroom</strong></p>

<p>Twelve exhibition halls showcase animal mummies, ancient furniture, jewelry, and murals, enhanced by interactive digital displays.</p>
<p>One gallery uses projection mapping to recreate Queen Hatshepsut&rsquo;s expedition to the Land of Punt; another brings to life the painted tombs of Beni Hassan in vivid colour. &ldquo;You sit in a white room, and suddenly the walls come alive,&rdquo; Dr El-Shammaa explains. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s an extraordinary use of technology to bring history closer to the visitor.&rdquo;</p>
<p><strong>Redefining Egypt&rsquo;s Timeline</strong></p>
<p>Among the museum&rsquo;s most remarkable exhibits is a collection of prehistoric artefacts unearthed in Cairo&rsquo;s Abbassia district, dating back 700,000 years.</p>
<p>&ldquo;This completely changes how we define Egyptian civilization,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re not a 7,000-year-old civilization; we are a 700,000-year-old one.&rdquo;</p>
<p><strong>A Cultural and Economic Revival</strong></p>
<p>Five times larger than the British Museum and twice the size of the Louvre, the GEM will eventually house over 100,000 artifacts, with 58,000 already prepared for display.</p>
<p>Set amid landscaped gardens of papyrus and lotus, the museum also features restaurants, shops, and a Children&rsquo;s Museum, alongside accessibility features including lifts, escalators, and digital guidance.</p>

<p>For Dr El-Shammaa, the museum&rsquo;s importance extends beyond preservation. &ldquo;It adds new chapters to our history&mdash;and corrects distorted ones,&rdquo; he says. &ldquo;For too long, false narratives have attempted to rewrite Egypt&rsquo;s story. I&rsquo;m an artist; I love music, painting, and human connection.<br />I believe vulnerability is how we evolved as humankind; it&rsquo;s a strength, not a weakness. I love being hopeful; it&rsquo;s one of the things that has truly shaped who I am.</p>
<p><strong>What first inspired you to use media and storytelling as tools for positive change?</strong></p>
<p>I&rsquo;ve always loved storytelling. When COVID hit in 2020, the news was overwhelmingly negative, and I wanted to show a different side, a more hopeful one. &lsquo;The Good News&rsquo; started as a way to cope with that stress, but as I studied positive psychology, it became much deeper.<br />When things get tough, people instinctively look for hope; it&rsquo;s part of survival. &lsquo;The Good News&rsquo; was born out of that instinct, and five years later, it&rsquo;s still growing.</p>

<p><strong>Who has been your biggest influence or source of motivation?</strong></p>
<p>My family, without question. They&rsquo;ve always believed in me and pushed me to see myself differently. Their faith in me gave me confidence to move forward and to lead with purpose.</p>
<p><strong>How did you feel when you learned you&rsquo;d been selected as one of the UN Young Leaders for 2025?</strong></p>
<p>It&rsquo;s a funny story; I actually found out while sitting in a meeting at the UN Country Office in Egypt with Felipe Paullier, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth. I received the email during that meeting and told him right away, and he was shocked! Out of 33,000 applicants, only 17 were chosen. It felt surreal.</p>
<p>When I looked at previous cohorts, I didn&rsquo;t see anyone who looked like me or advocated for the same causes. So I thought, This is my chance to represent my people and my work on a global stage.</p>

<p><strong>Tell us more about The Good News. How does positive storytelling create real impact?</strong></p>
<p>&lsquo;The Good News&rsquo; is a space where people lift each other. We&rsquo;ve supported youth through internships, showcased their creative projects, and shared stories of hope in difficult times.</p>
<p>Positive storytelling is powerful; it reminds people they&rsquo;re not alone and helps build stronger, more compassionate communities.</p>
<p><strong>Has there been one story or project that has had a deep emotional impact on you?</strong></p>
<p>Yes. When Palestinian journalist Saleh al-Jafarawi was martyred. He was known for his warmth and optimism. His death broke my heart.</p>
<p>I didn&rsquo;t know how to tell people that the voice of hope had been silenced. But I found strength in his words and continued sharing his messages. It reminded me that &lsquo;The Good News&rsquo; isn&rsquo;t a luxury; it&rsquo;s a necessity. People need hope to survive.</p>
<p><strong>As the first Egyptian woman to receive this UN recognition, what does it mean for you and for Egyptian women?</strong></p>
<p>It&rsquo;s a huge honor. There was one Egyptian man in the 2020 cohort, but no woman before me. This recognition proves that Egyptian women are confident, driven, and expressive.</p>
<p>It challenges stereotypes and shows that women in the Arab world are powerful contributors to change, not just participants.</p>

<p>We face challenges, yes! But that&rsquo;s what makes us resourceful and determined to create impact.</p>
<p><strong>What&rsquo;s the biggest lesson you&rsquo;ve learned from your work in media and community development?</strong></p>
<p>That nothing matters if you don&rsquo;t have a good heart. People can sense authenticity. For me, it&rsquo;s more important to do the work with love, care, and integrity than just to do it for recognition.</p>
<p><strong>What message would you share with young changemakers who want to make a difference but don&rsquo;t know where to start?</strong></p>
<p>Don&rsquo;t give up on what you want. The spaces you aspire to join might not always be welcoming; build your own chair if you need to. Create your own table. Believe that your presence has value.</p>
<p><strong>Looking ahead, what are your next goals as part of your journey with the UN and beyond?</strong></p>
<p>I want to amplify the voices of young Egyptians and bring their stories to a global audience. I also hope to build partnerships with organizations that share the same vision, to create impact through creativity, empathy, and storytelling.</p>

It was my first collaboration and my first full production, and it turned out to be a great success&mdash;the track was played all around the world.&rdquo;<br /><strong>5. Your latest mixes, like Top Afro Summer Vibes 2025 and Melodic Techno Tunes 2025, have such uplifting energy. How do you approach creating these vibes?</strong><br />I always start with emotion. I imagine a journey and build the mix step by step to create flow and energy. For me, a good set should make people feel something&mdash;joy, freedom, unity&mdash;that&rsquo;s the goal every time.<br /><strong>6. When preparing a new set, do you focus more on the crowd&rsquo;s mood or your personal artistic flow?</strong><br />It&rsquo;s always a balance between both. NileFM is one of Egypt&rsquo;s most respected platforms, and being featured there means a lot to me. How do your kids react to seeing you perform?</strong><br />They absolutely love it! They dance, smile, and sometimes even play with my DJ equipment. <p>Global superstars Shakira and The Weeknd have joined the advisory board of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative launched ahead of next year&rsquo;s 2026 FIFA World Cup to expand access to education around the world.</p>
<p>They join a group of high-profile figures from across entertainment, sport, and business, including Ivana Trump, Hugh Jackman, Gianni Infantino, Hugh Evans, and Serena Williams, to support the fund&rsquo;s efforts to mobilize resources and drive global engagement.</p>
<p><strong>Raising USD 100m for Global Education</strong></p>

<p>It really started as a hobby. I just enjoyed cooking and sharing what I made. I never thought it would turn into a full-time career. But over time, I realized that people connected with the way I approached food: simple, fun, and real. That&rsquo;s when I decided to take it more seriously.</p>

Your passion can change or evolve into something even bigger and better.</p>
<p><strong>What&rsquo;s a common misconception about turning your passion into your job?</strong></p>
<p>The worst advice I&rsquo;ve heard is to focus on what people will think. You have to do what works for you at that moment. Maybe you&rsquo;ll make mistakes, but that&rsquo;s part of the process. Listen to the people who genuinely care about you, but also listen to yourself and trust your gut.</p>
<p><strong>How important is it to have supportive friends or a close circle during that journey?</strong></p>
<p>Having friends is always a good thing, but relying on them too much isn&rsquo;t always the best approach. Sometimes they don&rsquo;t fully understand what you&rsquo;re doing. It helps to make friends or build a community with people in the same field, people who can relate to what you&rsquo;re going through and give constructive advice. It doesn&rsquo;t have to be a creative passion; even in a corporate setting, having someone who understands your world makes a big difference.</p>

<p><strong>When is the right time to turn passion into a full-time job?</strong></p>
<p>I don&rsquo;t think there&rsquo;s a specific age or moment. You just know when it&rsquo;s right for you. Sometimes life gives you signs; maybe you&rsquo;re bored, tired, or ready for something new. People say you should take those risks early in life, but I think it&rsquo;s never too late. Whenever it feels right, go for it.</p>
<p><strong>Should passion always be about making money?</strong></p>
<p>No, I don&rsquo;t think we should pursue our passion just for money. Of course, making a living is important, but if you truly love something and you&rsquo;re good at it, it can eventually become profitable. The key is balance; be realistic, but don&rsquo;t lose sight of what drives you.</p>

<p>Be patient. Take it one step at a time. It sounds clich&eacute;, but it&rsquo;s true. If you put too much pressure on yourself, you won&rsquo;t think clearly. Sometimes delays give you a chance to see things from a new perspective and figure out how to improve.</p>

The CEO Women initiative holds a very special place in my heart because it was founded in Egypt, a country that continues to produce exceptional women leaders.<br />Although I&rsquo;ve been living abroad for the last 33 years, my heart has always remained attached to Egypt. When I see opportunities to support Egyptian women or to contribute to something meaningful, I don&rsquo;t hesitate to make time, no matter how busy my schedule is. It shows that Egypt and the Middle East are undergoing a real transformation toward empowering women and driving progress.<br /><strong>You mentioned that conferences like this fuel your energy. After more than 30 years in my field, facing challenges, failures, and successes, I now feel it&rsquo;s time to share what I&rsquo;ve learned. There&rsquo;s a quote I love: &ldquo;In your 20s, you learn; in your 30s, you perform; in your 40s, you lead; and in your 50s, you pass on your knowledge.&rdquo;<br />That&rsquo;s exactly where I am today. Seeing people&rsquo;s eyes light up when something I say resonates or helps them take a step forward, that&rsquo;s my fuel. It recharges my batteries and gives me purpose.<br /><strong>You work in one of the most competitive industries, technology, which is often viewed as male-dominated. Do you think this perception is still valid today?</strong><br />Let me start by saying, what sector isn&rsquo;t male-dominated? Historically, engineering and tech were seen as &ldquo;men&rsquo;s fields,&rdquo; but that mindset is changing. I see more women engineers and more women taking leadership roles in technology. It&rsquo;s not enough yet, but the transformation has begun.<br />However, balance is still not where it should be. We&rsquo;ve moved from one extreme to another. In the past, women&rsquo;s CVs were often dismissed in favor of men&rsquo;s. Now, some companies are prioritizing female hires even when they lack the same experience, just to meet diversity quotas. This shift, while well-intentioned, is not real equality.<br />True equality means anonymity, two CVs judged by skill, not gender. May the best person win, regardless of whether they&rsquo;re a man or a woman. I&rsquo;m not where I am today because I&rsquo;m a woman. I&rsquo;m here because I worked hard, failed, learned, and persevered, probably twice or three times as much as others. That&rsquo;s what success is about.<br /><strong>Technology is advancing faster than ever. How do global companies like Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise keep up?</strong><br />Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has been around for more than a century, 106 years to be exact. Longevity like that comes from innovation and constant reinvention. Our research and development teams are always thinking ahead, anticipating what&rsquo;s next.<br />When the pandemic hit, for example, we didn&rsquo;t face business interruption because our remote work platforms were already in place. But particularly as a university, higher education plays a significant role in skilling, upskilling, and reskilling a national workforce&mdash;and in particular, females. It&rsquo;s a catalyst for women to break the glass ceiling and manifest their aspirations.</p>
<p><strong>What do you think makes the CEO Women Conference stand out as a space for female empowerment?</strong><br />Dr. Mona Morad, CEO of On Air Group and Founder of the CEO Women&rsquo;s Conference, has put together an amazing platform to showcase the success of female leaders in the Middle East, particularly in Egypt. I was astonished by the achievements I heard from female ministers and leaders this morning. The world needs to know what Egypt is doing in this space.</p>
<p><strong>This year&rsquo;s theme focuses on Women in Tech. How do you see technology transforming education today?</strong><br />Technology is now at the heart of the design and delivery of education worldwide. At the University of Manchester, we&rsquo;ve been adopting virtual learning environments for more than three decades. Our blended programs and flexible learning models have enabled students&mdash;especially working professionals&mdash;to access high-quality education at their own pace and depth.</p>
<p><strong>AI and digital transformation are shaping every field. How is the university embracing that shift?</strong><br />We currently have around 1,600 researchers working on AI design and development as part of our 2035 strategy, which places innovation and AI adoption at its core. We are living in a time when digital transformation is no longer optional. AI and technology are essential vehicles for learning and professional development. Our new generation is tech-savvy, and as educators, we must speak their language.</p>
<p><strong>You&rsquo;ve witnessed significant growth in women&rsquo;s representation in higher education. What progress are you most proud of?</strong><br />We&rsquo;ve supported over 3,600 students in the Middle East and have more than 5,000 alumni, many of whom are women breaking barriers. Over the past two decades, we&rsquo;ve raised female representation in our programs from 9% to 35%, and that&rsquo;s one of our top achievements.</p>
<p><strong>Finally, what message would you like to share with women aspiring to lead?</strong><br />Leadership and success are gender-blind. If you remove the labels and limitations, the world will see you for your capabilities. Education gives women that freedom to redefine themselves, lead fearlessly, and shape the future.</p>

Don’t Miss Tonight’s Total Lunar Eclipse Over Egypt

<p>In a rare astronomical phenomenon, Earth is completing its rotation today, Tuesday, 22nd July, in less than 24 hours&mdash;making it the shortest day ever recorded in human history. The planet will spin 1.34 milliseconds faster than the standard 86,400 seconds, surpassing the previous record set just two weeks ago on 9th July.</p>
